12 Lucky Animals by Vickie Lee & Joey Chou @mackidsbooks

Genre: Children’s, Baby

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gong Hay Fat Choy! Xin Nian Kuai Le!! Wishing you happiness & Prosperity, and Happy New Year!

This is a great little introduction to all the Chinese Zodiac Animals. I loved the illustrations and how the author included how to pronounce each word/animal.

Since I’m Chinese, it was a fun way to teach my kids mandarin.

Blog Tour: Z Goes First by Sean Lamb, Illustrated by Mike Perry

Genre: Children’s Fiction

My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My Thoughts..

A fun and colorful way to teach little ones the alphabet. My 4 year old son has zero interest in story time, but this..he was interested in! Anything to do with letters and numbers, he’s on it!

I loved how the author made it enjoyable to read as the parent or an older sibling who understands the humor and cuteness. Extra Brownie points for the cleverness!

My Thoughts..

Remember the days where there wasn’t any internet and no such thing as an iPad, Android or any touchscreen device? What would we do now without those?

I’m a huge Jamie Lee Curtis fan from her days of starring in True Lies & Freaky Friday. When I was offered a chance to read her children’s book, I jumped at the chance! Who wouldn’t right?

This was a really cute story about a mom who gets carried away with taking selfies, and serves as a great reminder of how important it is to take time for family.

Have you read any books written by a Hollywood celebrity? If so, which ones?

Open to US Residents only.

Winner will receive one free copy from Macmillan’s Childrens Books.
