GENRE: Mystery & Thrillers

MY RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and mine is going to be frozen.

My immediate thoughts when I started reading this, was how it reminded me of the Netflix series, YOU (which I loved). I haven’t read the book by Caroline Kepnes yet, so the show is my only comparison.

Juliette, is all kinds of cray cray! Like.. Taylor Swift crazy in her Blank Space video

Previously known as Elizabeth/Lily, she has this obsession with her ex-boyfriend Nate and isn’t ready to let him go. She becomes a flight attendant (he’s a pilot), stalks him on social media & hangs out in his apartment while he’s away. 😬

Seriously..she’s like the perfect match for Joe Goldberg if you ask me.

The story starts off with her childhood, then moves into the present. As the story progresses, we learn about Juliette’s troubled past which helps explain why she is the way that she is. It actually makes you feel kinda sorry for her.

Minor things that bothered me..

-The abbreviations. POA (which gets mentioned several times), TBA..why? 🤦‍♀️

-Things were a little too coincidental, like the fact that Nate just so happens to be related to someone from Juliette’s past, and meets his girlfriend by chance on one of her flights.

-The pacing..It’s a tad slow in the beginning and throughout other areas of the book. However, the author does a good job of keeping you hooked. Brownie points for that.

-The ending..ugh I was disappointed cause I wanted it to end differently. It felt a bit rushed, but it definitely leaves you thinking: That was totally FUCKED UP and what the hell did I just read?!

Overall, I found it very entertaining and wanted to know what Juliette would do next.

A beach & travel worthy read.

Have you read it??

Juliette loves Nate.

She will follow him anywhere. She’s even become a flight attendant for his airline so she can keep a closer eye on him.

They are meant to be.

The fact that Nate broke up with her six months ago means nothing. Because Juliette has a plan to win him back.

She is the perfect girlfriend. And she’ll make sure no one stops her from getting exactly what she wants.

True love hurts, but Juliette knows it’s worth all the pain…
